Russia and China Hold Anti-Missile System Talks

The foreign ministries of Russia and China are holding consultations on the defense of the anti-missile system.

A thorough exchange of views took place on various aspects of this issue.

Including its global and regional dimensions.

The Russian foreign ministry said in a statement on its website on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

"The intention was reaffirmed to hold such consultations regularly in the future," the statement added.
Since invading Ukraine more than a year ago, Russia has increasingly courted China for trade and diplomatic support.

China did not condemn the invasion.

The United States, as well as other Western allies, said earlier this year that China was considering providing weapons to Russia.

The United States' suspicions were denied by Beijing.

Russia and China declared their "borderless" partnership before Moscow sent tens of thousands of troops to Ukraine in what the Kremlin called a "special military operation" in February 2022.

The two have moved to further strengthen economic, political, and military ties.
